Weapons shown so far
Rockstar hasn't published a weapon list. What exists is what people have spotted in trailers, screenshots and the Extended Look.
There's no official weapon list for Grand Theft Auto 6, and there probably won't be one before release. Everything in circulation was identified by people freezing official footage, so the reliable parts are the things you can see in a still and the unreliable parts are everything else.
What you can clearly see
| Weapon | Who carries it | Where it is visible | What you can tell from it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Semi-automatic pistol | Lucia | The check cashing screenshot | Taped grip, a sticker on the body, a scuffed slide. See weapon condition |
| Gold-plated rifle | Raymond | The Extended Look's opening phone call | Shown with the grills, chains and diamond earrings the same sequence uses to establish him |
| Sidearms, carried openly | Both leads | Several official screenshots, including the low-angle freight elevator shot | Concealment is not assumed; the leads are armed in public |
| Police long guns | Law enforcement | The Grassrivers and pursuit imagery | Police escalate to rifles, which the wanted system implies is tiered |
| Guns fired from a helicopter | Jason and Lucia | The launch trailer | The pair shoot down at Vice City streets from the air |
| Long guns at night | Jason and two armed men | The launch trailer's Grassrivers swamp scene | Night vision goggles pushed up on their heads, so this is a planned operation |
| Rifles | Men in pale overalls and dust masks | The Extended Look's penthouse job | Lucia's text warns Jason about "auto weps, explosives". We read it at 4K |
| Pistol held behind her back | Lucia | The Extended Look's robbery at Zeke's Gadgets | See store robberies |
| Rifles, a pistol over the handlebars | A quad bike rider, a bandana-masked woman, a masked motorbike rider | Game Informer's twelve screenshots | The woman has hers out in daylight with bystanders twenty-odd feet away |
| Baseball bat | A man behind a shop counter | Game Informer's screenshots | The first melee weapon we've logged in official imagery |
| Hunting rifles | Two men in the pines | Mount Kalaga National Park, per our activities roundup | Ties in with hunting |
| Shotgun from a police car's boot | Jason | Edge's demo report (29 October), not footage | Edge says he slung it on his back while the officers were busy. See the weapon wheel |
The ones Rockstar has named itself
Rockstar's Ultimate Edition material is the only place the studio has given firearms full manufacturer-and-model names. It's a short list and every entry's an edition bonus, but it's the firmest information there is:
| Weapon | Manufacturer and model | Detail Rockstar gave | Availability |
|---|---|---|---|
| Morgan revolvers | Hawk & Little Morgan | Palm-tree etched grips, engraving, a high-performance scope, said to come from the Vercetti Estate | Ultimate Edition |
| Jason's sidearm | Girardi ES9 | Personalised engraving | Ultimate Edition |
| Lucia's sidearm | Klose K17 | Personalised engraving | Ultimate Edition |
Both pistol names appear in the Ultimate Edition's PlayStation Store listing, which describes personalised sidearms with detailed engravings for Jason's Girardi ES9 and Lucia's Klose K17.
The paid packs carry weapon extras too. The Vintage Vice City Pack, a pre-order bonus on both editions, includes a tropical weapon pattern. The Ultimate Edition's '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy comes with a weapon locker at Paradise Garage, and its Shitzu Squalo boat carries a crate, which our unlocks guide calls a weapons crate and the store listing calls an explosives crate.
Claims you can't see in the frame
Rounds of trailer analysis have produced confident claims about dual wielding, specific real-world weapon models and attachment systems. Very little of that survives a look at the actual frame. A weapon held at an angle in one hand for four frames isn't a confirmed mechanic, and a silhouette isn't a model identification.
We list a weapon here when it's legible in an official image or when whoever spotted it is named. That makes for a slower list than the ones going round, and one that won't need correcting later.
The mechanics say more than the models
You can learn more from the mechanics than from the models. Larger weapons travel in your vehicle and not on your body, so the game draws a line between what you can conceal and what you can't. Focus marks limbs separately from lethal zones, so the shooting model cares where a round lands. Both of those tell you more about how weapons will feel than any list of names.
What isn't known
Most of the arsenal. Rockstar hasn't published a weapon list, and outside the three Ultimate Edition guns above it hasn't given a firearm a full name. Dual wielding, specific real-world models and attachment systems are all claims from trailer analysis that the official footage doesn't back up yet.
We also don't know how much melee there is beyond that one bat, what the tropical pattern looks like or which guns it applies to, or whether explosives are something you can carry yourself or only turn up in missions like the penthouse job.
