Every GTA 6 activity confirmed so far

Fishing you can't profit from, diving with an air supply, and the San Andreas gym system coming back after twenty-two years.

Grand Theft Auto 6 has more side activities confirmed than any entry since San Andreas, and they're what separate a Rockstar game from an open world with missions in it.

The ones shown outright

Scuba diving is the standout. An oxygen meter replaces the stamina bar underwater, which sounds minor and isn't. In Grand Theft Auto V the seabed ran on the same bar as sprinting, so depth was basically a timer. A proper air supply turns it into a place you plan to visit. The official Keys screenshot shows a full reef with a turtle and a diver working along it.

The gym and diet system is back from San Andreas. What you eat changes how Jason and Lucia look, and skipping the gym costs you muscle. Rockstar dropped that mechanic in 2004 because it's expensive to build, and now it's built it for two protagonists instead of one.

Kayaking appears in the Extended Look and is reported as playable by both leads together, so it's time spent as a couple, with no job attached.

Fishing, with a strange rule

Fishing is reported to be about as deep as Red Dead Redemption 2's, with one twist: catch and release. You can't keep a fish or sell one.

That reads like a limitation, but it's probably the opposite. Red Dead's fishing was an economy, which turned a good spot into a grind. Take the payout away and fishing's just something you do because you're on a boat and the sun's going down. It's also how a huge amount of real Florida sport fishing actually works.

Hunting, sports, clubs and fights

How much of this is confirmed

It splits. The diving, the gym, the kayak and the hunting are all visible in official material. The mechanical detail around them, including catch and release and the oxygen meter, comes from reporting on the Extended Look, and Rockstar itself hasn't spelled it out.

Our activities section marks which is which on every page, because the difference matters and most of the lists going around don't bother to draw it.
