Paradise Garage

Named by Rockstar as the home of the Ultimate Edition buggy, in Watson Bay. A storage location with a weapon locker attached.

Rockstar's Ultimate Edition copy says the '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy is stored at Paradise Garage in Watson Bay, with a weapon locker and stash box. The copy names the garage, the district and those two storage features, and that's everything it says.

Named in Rockstar's own copy

It's one of a handful of places Rockstar has named in its own published material. Most names on this wiki come from somebody reading a sign in a trailer. Under the confidence tiers this site uses, a name in Rockstar's own copy is the firmest category there is, and it's why a single line of marketing copy gets a whole page.

It also tells you the place works. A storage location is somewhere you drive to, park in and come back to, which scenery isn't. A building you come back to has to exist properly, with an interior, a door that works, and a state that holds while you're somewhere else.

Garages in the series

Garages have quietly been one of the most load-bearing things in these games. The 3D-era titles used them as the only reliable way to keep a car you liked, which turned an ordinary building into the thing players were most attached to, and most annoyed by when it failed.

Grand Theft Auto V tied them to properties and made them part of what you bought. Grand Theft Auto Online went a lot further and built a whole economy on storage: vehicle garages, mechanic delivery, and eventually workshops that modified whatever was parked in them.

Over twenty years the direction has been from a room that holds a car to a service you call. Naming a specific garage in a specific district, and attaching a physical locker to it, points back the other way.

Where your loadout lives

Grand Theft Auto 6 has taken the bigger weapons off your body and put them in your vehicle. So a garage that comes with a weapon locker and a stash box is more than a cosmetic reward. It's somewhere your loadout lives.

The PlayStation Store listing is a little more specific about the stash. It describes the garage as having a weapon locker plus a secure place to deposit stolen goods to be fenced. That's a link to the money side of the game. Edge's cover feature on 29 October reports that some story missions need you to raise money first, and that fences buy stolen cars you find through an app called WAINK, paying less for ones in bad condition. A garage with a drop for stolen goods fits that loop, though Rockstar hasn't joined the two up itself.

That raises a question Rockstar hasn't answered. Is storage tied to specific garages, to specific vehicles, or is it something you can buy? The copy describes the locker as attached to the buggy at this garage, and that doesn't settle it either way.

The answer matters more than it looks. If loadouts live in named places, then planning a job means deciding where to start from, and the map gets a layer it's never had in this series.

What isn't known

We don't know what the garage looks like, whether other vehicles can be kept there, whether more garages exist, whether the locker restocks, or where Watson Bay is. Edge does mention Watson Bay, as somewhere a Rockstar developer tried to reach using only public transport, so it's a real destination on the map, but nobody has said where it sits. We don't know how fencing from the stash works either, or whether the same drop works for stolen cars. One store listing is the whole published record.
