About this section
Leonida is Rockstar's Florida, and it's unusually easy to match against the real state because the studio has barely disguised where it got everything. Vice City is Miami, the Keys are the Keys, Grassrivers is the Everglades, Ambrosia is the sugar country south of Lake Okeechobee, and Port Gellhorn is the faded roadside tourism of the panhandle coast.
One region doesn't have a real counterpart. Florida's highest natural point is only around 345 feet, so Mount Kalaga National Park is made up, and a lot of what's been written about it assumes a real place that doesn't exist.
These pages cover what's been shown, what the real-world version actually is, and what that suggests about how each region will play. When we're working something out ourselves instead of reporting it, the page tells you.
