Thrillbilly Mud Club

First shown in trailer one and still going. Trucks, mud, and the part of Leonida that's loud on purpose.

The Thrillbilly Mud Club showed up in the first trailer in December 2023 and turns up again in the official screenshot set, so it's one of the longest-running confirmed locations in the game.

The screenshots leave no doubt about what it is: people caked head to foot in mud, cans in hand, trucks buried to the axles, and somebody riding on a bonnet.

Mud bogging in Florida

Mud bogging is a real, organised motorsport across the American south, and Florida has a well-established scene. The format's simple. There's a pit of wet clay and a measured distance, and whoever gets furthest wins. Most entrants don't finish, and that's more or less the point.

Events are part race, part endurance test and mostly a party, and they're held at dedicated venues that exist for nothing else and are open most weekends in the season. The vehicles are purpose-built to a degree that surprises people who haven't seen one: lifted suspension, cut-down bodywork, tractor tyres, and engines that have nothing to do with what the truck left the factory with.

Grand Theft Auto has historically got this sort of thing wrong by treating it as a punchline. On the evidence of these shots, it's treating it as a place this time. The people in frame are enjoying themselves and nobody's laughing at them, and that's a different register from how the series has handled rural America before.

Out in Ambrosia

It looks like it's in or near Ambrosia, the industrial interior, which is also where the official material puts a motorcycle club riding out in formation with ENFORCER patches.

Every Rockstar map needs a region where the game stops being cool on purpose. Grand Theft Auto V used Sandy Shores and Blaine County for it, and got some of its most memorable content out of them. Red Dead Redemption 2 did the same thing with the swamp country around Lemoyne.

The interior of Leonida looks like it's being built for that job, and it's got a geographical advantage its predecessors didn't have: Ambrosia's signposted from the highway on the edge of Vice City, so the game expects you to drive there on purpose, not wander into it.

Three years without a caption

The gap is the strange part. Rockstar showed this venue in December 2023, showed it again in 2025, and hasn't once explained what it is or whether you can do anything there.

That's not unusual for this studio, but it does mean every confident description of mud bogging as a playable activity is somebody's inference. Under the confidence tiers we use across this wiki, the venue's confirmed and the activity isn't.

What isn't known

We don't know whether it's playable, whether it hosts races, whether you can drive the trucks, or exactly where it is. It's been shown twice across three years without a word of explanation from Rockstar.
