The Map
Regions, towns and how they connect.
Faded coast3
Port Gellhorn
Cheap motels, shut-down attractions, and the holiday economy that left.
National park3
Mt. Kalaga National Park
Lakes, rivers and high ground. The one region with no real counterpart.
Industrial interior2
Ambrosia
A sugar refinery over a company town, beside Lake Leonida.
Wetland2
Grassrivers
The Everglades. Sawgrass, airboats and things that bite.
The city21
Vice City
Modern Miami, and about twice the size of Los Santos.
Resort islands6
Leonida Keys
Tourists on top, smuggling routes underneath.

The Leonida map, and the fan project mapping it
Six confirmed regions, no official map release, and a community effort triangulating the whole state from trailer footage.

How big is the GTA 6 map
About twice the size of Grand Theft Auto V's map, per Game Informer's cover story with Rockstar art director Aaron Garbut, and the biggest map Rockstar has built. Vice City on its own is roughly twice Los Santos.

Vice City districts
Ocean Beach, Bayside, Stockyard and the port have been read off official footage. Watson Bay, Washington Beach and Shore Court came from Rockstar's own press copy.

Ocean Beach
The postcard district: art deco frontage, pastel paint, white sand, and the part of Vice City that sells the game.

Stockyard
The mural district. Large-scale street art under an elevated line, and the most obvious real-world lift on the map after the beach.

Vice City Port
Containers, cranes, warehouses and industrial bridges. It's in both trailers, and it's the obvious way a lot of product gets into Leonida.

Watson Bay
Rockstar named it as the home of Paradise Garage, where the Ultimate Edition buggy's kept. Nothing else has been said about it.

Washington Beach
Where Rockstar docks the Ultimate Edition speedboat, and a district name carried over from the 2002 game.

The Vercetti Estate
Rockstar named it in official copy, and Tommy Vercetti was the protagonist of the 2002 game. That makes it the most direct link yet between the two.

Confirmed landmarks
An airport, a football stadium, an amphitheatre, a military base and a fully explorable zoo, plus the towers and refineries that anchor each region.
About this section
Rockstar hasn't released a map of Leonida, and it probably won't before launch. What we've got is six confirmed regions and a size comparison given during previews: the state is roughly three times the size of the Red Dead Redemption 2 world, and Vice City on its own is around twice the size of Los Santos.
Be careful with the headline figure. Red Dead's world was empty on purpose, because it was a game about how long things take on a horse. Tripling that area in a game with cars doesn't triple what's in it. The Vice City comparison is the more useful number, because packed city space is the expensive kind to build and it's where players spend their hours.
Everything else comes from the community mapping effort, which has been piecing the coastline together from official footage since 2022. It's careful work on published material, with nothing leaked in it, and we link to the projects doing it. We don't copy what they've made.
