Jason Duval

Jason is one of the two playable leads. Rockstar's framing is that he grew up around grifters and crooks, served in the Army, and came back into the same orbit he left, working for drug runners in the Leonida Keys.

He is the steadier half of the pair on paper, which is not the same as being the more cautious one. The screenshots give him scarring, knuckle tattoos and a wardrobe that has clearly been worn rather than assembled.

Where he sits in the story

He rents nothing. Brian Heder, an old smuggler running a boat yard, lets him stay on the property, which puts Jason in debt to somebody before the story even starts.

Like Lucia he carries his own Criminal Profile, a system that tracks how he operates rather than scoring him on a morality scale.
