About this section
There are three pieces of official footage, released over nearly three years, and almost everything anybody knows about Grand Theft Auto 6 comes from them.
Trailer 1, in December 2023, set the tone and the setting. Trailer 2, in May 2025, brought in the cast and showed more of the map. The Extended Look, in August 2026, was the first time anybody saw the game actually being played, and it's where nearly every mechanics page on this site gets its detail.
These pages note what each one told us. They don't go through them shot by shot. When a detail comes from reporting on the footage, and you can't clearly see it on screen yourself, the page says so.
