'55 Vapid Stanier

A 1955 two-tone sedan with tail fins. It's the centrepiece of the Vintage Vice City Pack pre-order bonus.

The Vintage Vice City Pack pre-order bonus is built around a 1955 Vapid Stanier. It's a two-tone yellow and white sedan with chrome, whitewalls and tail fins, and it's kept at a Shore Court personal garage near Ocean Beach.

The pack also comes with period outfits and hairstyles for both leads, a tropical weapon pattern and one free month of GTA+, so the car's the main event but it isn't the only thing you get. It's a pre-order bonus on both editions, Standard and Ultimate, for orders made before 20 November (what each edition unlocks).

On PlayStation, the GTA+ month comes with digital pre-orders, has to be claimed by 31 March 2027 and renews at the normal price after that. GTA+ is the Grand Theft Auto Online subscription, and the new game has no online mode at launch, so Rockstar hasn't said what the month is really for.

A very different Stanier

If you've played recent Grand Theft Auto games, you'll know the Stanier as the Ford Crown Victoria stand-in: the beige, indestructible, faintly depressing sedan that's also every police car in the series.

A 1955 Stanier is a different animal entirely. It's the fifties American sedan people picture when they think of the decade. The badge on the flank in the third shot shows Rockstar's using the same nameplate across seventy in-universe years, exactly the way real manufacturers do.

Fifties cars and Miami go together

Miami's identity is tied up with mid-century American cars, because the city's boom and its architecture come from the same decades. A cream and yellow fifties sedan outside an art deco hotel reaches back past Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. It's nostalgia for the thing Vice City was itself nostalgic for.

Rockstar calling the whole pack Vintage Vice City makes that intent pretty clear.

What isn't known

Rockstar hasn't published any performance detail. It also hasn't said whether the Stanier's drivable in the base game in any form, and right now the pre-order pack is the only confirmed way to get this one. It's not clear either whether the pack's there from the start or turns up as you play, the way the Ultimate Edition's items do.
