Boobie Ike

A Vice City name who converted a street reputation into a legitimate portfolio: property, a strip club and a recording studio.

Boobie Ike is the kind of success Grand Theft Auto keeps coming back to: somebody who came up on the streets and turned it into things with paperwork. He's got real estate, a strip club and a recording studio, all legit on the surface. The club is the Jack of Hearts, and it's in the Extended Look.

What he bought says who he is

Look at what he chose to buy. Property's the safest money in Florida and the least interesting. The other two are cash businesses in industries where the reputation he built in his old life carries straight over. A club and a studio aren't passive investments. They're places where the people he used to work with have a reason to keep showing up, so he hasn't really left. He's just changed the address.

That tension is the whole character. He's done what everyone in these stories says they want to do, and it hasn't put any distance between him and the business.

Who he's tied to

The studio links him to Dre'Quan Priest and the music side of the story, which is where Real Dimez come in. Reporting on the Extended Look also has Raymond's drug lab supplying his club, and that's where the legit portfolio stops being legit.

So the studio ties him to the music money and the club ties him to the drug money, and both of them are the same kind of building. In a game about modern Florida money, that's a tidy bit of design on Rockstar's part.

A poster on the club wall

Inside the Jack of Hearts in the Extended Look there's a poster for something called Peekhole, which looks a lot like an OnlyFans parody. It's got a QR code on it, and people who scanned it ended up on the official Grand Theft Auto 6 site. Rockstar hasn't said whether Peekhole is a phone app, a side business or just a poster (our piece on it).

It fits him, though. A club owner with a studio and a property portfolio is exactly the sort of man who'd have a cut of the subscription side too, and it's the same attention money Real Dimez are chasing. That last bit's our reading, not anything Rockstar's said.

On the cover

He's on the official cover art collage with Jason, Lucia and Raul Bautista. Rockstar doesn't put minor characters on the box. That spot is the best clue we've got that he carries a big chunk of the story, more than a single side strand.

What isn't known

We haven't seen how he meets Jason and Lucia, whether he's an employer, a target or both, or what he actually wants. His voice actor hasn't been confirmed either, since Rockstar hasn't put out a cast list. And nobody knows yet whether Peekhole is something you can actually use in the game.
