Lucia's taped-up pistol is the strongest hint yet at weapon condition in GTA 6

A sticker, tape around the grip and a scuffed slide. Small details, but they point at guns that carry a history.

Weapons in Grand Theft Auto have always been immaculate. Pick one up and it looks like it came out of a box, no matter how long it has been jammed down the back of a stolen sedan.

The check cashing screenshot breaks that pattern. The pistol in Lucia's hand has tape wrapped around the grip, a sticker stuck to the body and visible scuffing across the slide. It is the gun of somebody early in a career, not somebody kitted out by a supplier.

Why it matters

If condition is tracked, it changes how you treat a weapon. A gun becomes something you maintain, replace or dump, which sits neatly next to the evidence system the Extended Look showed off. Dumping a weapon after a job stops being a flavour choice and starts being a decision with a cost.

Nothing here is confirmed. Rockstar has not said a word about weapon wear. But the art department does not put tape on a grip by accident.
